How can I further my career in SAP?
If you want to further your career in SAP it’s important to:
Stay up to date with the latest technology.
Participate and attend external training, conferences and networking events, such as SAUG and mastering SAP.
Make sure you have a clear understanding of the company you currently work for. What is their strategy and SAP roadmap and how does that fit in with your ambitions. If it doesn’t it could be time for a change.
Work out what’s important for you – both in your SAP career and personal life – and set goals that are in line with that. Nobody will care as much about your career journey as you – have a vision for your own career and what you want to achieve in SAP.
What skills are most in demand in the current market?
You can read our quarterly market update blog here.
Are there any certifications or areas of SAP I should investigate to extend my SAP skills and knowledge?
This is heavily dependent on the area of SAP you work in.
For each area there are certifications run by SAP for S/4 HANA and if you have no experience, it would be a good thing to get started there.
We recommend being proactive in your approach to certification and training. Look at your goals and career progression and find training and certifications in alignment with that, so you can develop a plan to address that gap or make your next step.
