​Last month we welcomed Trish to the operations team. We sit down with her to learn a bit more about her role and what she's looking forward to in 2023 and beyond.

What is your role at Speller?

Finance Manager

What does an average day involve?

Counting money In and money Out!  More specifically, I look after the management and statutory requirements for the business as well as managing the awesome payroll team.

Tell us a bit about your professional background.

The first part of my career was working as an office manager, bookkeeper, and sometime production assistant in tv commercial and advertising agencies, then I moved into finance roles in software development and IT start up businesses. For the last 10 years, I have worked in finance and payroll roles in recruitment.

What are you enjoying about your role at Speller?

The people are great, the office is lovely, and there is variety and opportunities in my role.

Where do we find you in your downtime?

Hmm…either at the theatre, walking along the beach or planning a holiday.

What's your favourite part of Australia?

Oh…tough one. I love the red centre and I love the beaches. I love the big cities (Melbourne in particular!) and the small cities. I love the Yarra Valley and the Mornington Peninsular. I really can’t pick a favourite!

What does 2023 hold both professionally and personally for you?

Professionally - a chance to contribute to Speller’s growth and personally - a bit of a driving holiday to the outback with my family.
