​Late last year we welcomed Karly Hogan to the Speller Delivery team. With a background in IT recruitment, Karly is looking forward to learning all things SAP. We sit down with Karly this week to get to know more about her.

What is your role at Speller? What does an average day involve?

I am in the delivery team at Speller, a day for me involves both establishing and maintaining relationships with candidates and liaising with them in a range of contexts including matching them to existing job openings or understanding how we can work with them in the future.

Tell us a bit about your professional background.

I began my Recruitment career back in early 2021 after completing my Bachelor of Business/Human resource management at an IT MSP within their talent management function as a delivery consultant, and have spent the last year with a focus on broader IT recruitment I found tech really interesting and varied and loved the fast pace of recruitment and am excited for my next adventure learning SAP.

What are you enjoying about your role at Speller?

Everyone in the team is so supportive and collaborative. Everyone has so much knowledge and experience to impart and gives so much time and energy to deliver the best possible service to both the candidates and clients we are engaging with.

Where do we find you in your downtime?

Musical theatre is a lifelong passion of mine and I try to get to as many shows as I can across Victoria, and sometimes even being in them myself as a performer, most recently I was in a Ballarat Production of Priscilla Queen of the Dessert which was an amazing (and very glittery) experience.

What's your favourite part of Australia?

My favourite part of Australia is the Victorian coastline, my summers are spent in Barwon heads and Torquay making memories with my family and friends.  

What does 2023 hold both professionally and personally for you?

Professionally in 2023 I hope to build rapport among SAP candidates and enhance my understanding of SAP, personally I’m hoping to get back on the theatre stage and work toward becoming a homeowner.
